I graduated from a small liberal arts college in upstate NY in 2009. I spent the beginning of the summer in India. I hope to visit each of the continents in my lifetime. So far I've hit N. America (of course!), Europe, Asia, and Africa.

I have always been a writer--my first poem was published when I was in 5th grade. (I think it had something to do with our connectedness despite our differences. Corny, I'm sure, and written in simpler terms than I'd use today, I hope!) I'm particularly interested in the urban experience and the atypical love story (and how the two relate).

I could sit for hours in a cafe with a book or pad and paper and a steamy drink. Secretly, I hope I look charming and somebody fabulously intriguing will ask if he can sit with me. I'm not a loner or a bore, though--I have been known to dance on a bar or two. Nothing too crazy!

I love cupcakes more than cake, though I admit that cupcakes are simply teeny round cakes. Cupcakes are cute and personal and, well, charming, I guess, and they just make me happy.

I love learning about medical anomalies/mysteries, and I might have made a good doctor had it not been for this creative energy I just can't snuff. I love learning in general--and adventure! I am a very odd person when it comes to people, Every time i meet someone i always seem to challenge them. I like everyone but I treat people very differently like most of us. I feel that I am much more different than the societal world around me, but that is also not a bad thing like I said I enjoy people. I can be very shy at times and at time I can be very open. Sometimes I talk and sometimes I can sit there around people acting as an observing piece of furniture. The world around me is something so strange and sometimes funny. I do not watch much television because of the strangeness alone. Reality is the most interesting to me because of the things that happen. There is a balance though without television there are movies which I have always loved since I was a young one. Now I cant because I feel that the same story is told over and over again that I cant appreciate sometimes the distinct execution of the story because it just does not hold as well as a solid. Eventually though I do see that movie sooner or later on dvd or when it does come out in the theatre. I just see them but without excitement because I know what to expect from the trailers and the power of the worldwide web.
I hate going to bars because of how predictable and boring they are unless it is like a nice lounge bar that is very dark with some lighting and a calm atmosphere. I cant do bars for the fact that I literally get lost cause of how overly pact they are I turn around I see five guys with blow out, muscles and tight t shirts. I make another turn I see the same thing. I walk into another room I see girls all wearing some hipped out club clothes at a local irish bar listening to who; the current pop artist cause its the thing to do. I am not with the ordinary, but once in a while I have to go out to make some kind of social commitment. Unfortunately my lack of socializing has gotten my fact about woman out of place. Lol.
I feel like the total outcast, that loner drifter mad max kind of guy who is a fighter but has a good heart.

To make this easier on everyone, I'll start with one simple constant truth: If you don't like wordy people, the "Back" button on your browser is your best friend right now. Don't say I didn't warn you if you keep going...

To date, the absolute truths of self that I have had the experience of learning:

I'm both romantic and vulgar.
Love fiercely and I've learned hate.
My thoughts do not stop. Ever. Doesn't mean they make any sense at times though.
I thoroughly believe in creating balance in life. Not there yet.
I can be either infectiously social or brutally solitary.
Silent or verbose.
There isn't a lot of middle ground with me. I gravitate towards my own extremes and swing like a pendulum between the two ends. I'm thrilled or miserable. Content to be alone or disgusted by the concept.

I am an exercise in getting to know someone. Think of peeling back an onion one layer at a time. It can make you cry, you can be indifferent, you can be amazed at how many times there's another layer underneath. You can simply dislike onions. And all things considered, I'd rather have a better analogy, but it's strangely perfect. It's either the perfect ingredient to add to something else, or it's just an overbearing unnecessary item. And that's a severely overused cliche' which I just applied to myself. Go figure.

Thunderstorms are for lovers and lusters. Sunny days are for breakfast in the afternoon and just laying in bed. Beaches are better at night because they're not packed. The sound of a river can stop time for a few minutes when you're alone with your thoughts. The subdued sounds of lonely traffic at four AM in Manhattan are perfect with a cup of coffee and a smoke on a rooftop and I miss it. The silence of the night is amplified by my thoughts having breathing space. Show me Times Square on a gorgeous summer afternoon and I'll show you the last place on earth I should be. Show me a sunset on the roof of the Empire State Building and I'll show you what inner peace looks like written on a face for anyone to see. Show me that there's nothing like the pure, simple pleasures in life... the smile that's a thousand words long and counting, a good meal, a cold beer on a hot day and the satisfied "aahhh", the look from across the room that stops you in your tracks, the scent of your hair in the morning, the electricity of a touch that says "I understand".

Show me the hopeless romantic and the brooder can coexist.

If all that doesn't chase you away, possibly screaming for the authorities to come with the jacket with the shiny buckles and the four foot sleeves, maybe you're smiling a bit at the end of this sentence. Which is good. Because I don't think I'm crazy or saying anything that no one else hasn't thought before. It's not an original concept, but it is me. So if you can smile at any of that, maybe there's something to this whole self-summary thing after all.

Maybe it's an image in your head, or a word that triggered a thought. Maybe you imagine a tone, as though it's spoken word. Maybe I'm just trying to try something new in life.

I think life is about the "warm fuzzies". That wonderful feeling some one invokes inside of you somewhere north of the belly and south of the heart. I've worked alongside models, celebrities, and people of all sorts. I'm shocked how difficult it is to find someone interesting, with those rare qualities that can invoke such feelings.

Iâ??ve realized this: Life is short. It is determined by quality, not its' quantity. The average person lives just over 28000 days, I don't want to waste any more. My new years resolution is to live more in the now. Go, see, do, experience, live, and love. The only person in life I really desire to beat is myself from last week.

I have had my fun, learned my lessons, paid the price, and have my stuff together. I am loyal, caring, fun and playful. I am ambitious, and successful, I know what my time is worth, but I have a big heart and make it for anyone who I care about. I can be picky with what I want, but always respectful. I tend to see the best in others and hold them to that standard. I throughly enjoy discovering another person. I have love of excitement and mystery, but not drama, if I wanted that I can watch soap operas. I enjoy playing with words and making witty remarks. I am motivated by learning and improving myself. I tend to always be on the move, keeping fit and active is very important to me. I just finished my masters in Strategic management and leadership, and am now thinking about teaching.

I have to warn you I am a geek in denial. I have been stage manager at the Renaissance Faire. I collect stuff I hope to pass down to my future kids. It includes anime, vintage video games, comic books, etc. I have a music background and embrace all types of music but I do have a total weakness funk music and remixes. I'm trying to learn how to dance.

I love exotic things, and actively search them out. I enjoy learning new cultures, and eating their food. Every summer I make lists of stuff I would like to do (rafting, tubing, hiking, museums, shows, places, etc) and see how much I can cross off.

The big question on here is "What are you looking for?" Well honestly I would love to find a guy who is nice, caring, humorous, and good hearted. I am not high maintenance or clingy at all! I know those traits can be annoying in a person. I am looking for a guy that I can spend time with. Go for a good walk, movie, dinner, or even to just sit home and have an amazing conversation until it gets so late that the sun comes up. I love to travel- I've been lucky enough to travel to a buncha places with my family over the years. Last summer I spent 3 weeks in Europe, and I've been all over the US (30-something states)- including Hawai'i, and Alaska- I've been to LA, San Fran, Phoenix, Seattle, Santa Fe, Chicago- the list goes on and on -- but my favorite place to travel is Florida. I love Disney World. Oh yeah, the warm weather and beaches aren't too bad either... I hate cold weather which is why I'm always lookin forward to summer.
