Sweet Revenge is an adorable cupcake wine and beer bar located in the heart of the West Village of Manhattan.
Marlo Scott, a beautiful vivacious entrepreneur invites you into her restaurant as if it were her living room.
The cupcakes are made right there in the back of the restaurant with the freshest of ingredients ranging from valrhona chocolate, Mexican vanilla and fage Greek Yogurt.
Don’t ask about how many calories are in the cupcakes as you’ll ruin the experience. There are several delicious flavors including: Mayan cinnamon chocolate cake with cinnamon chocolate buttercream, Ma Cherie, a black velvet cake, with cherry jam center, and bordeaux cherry chocolate ganache, Casablanca – Pistachio cardamom cake and rosewater buttercream and the signature sweet revenge cupcake made with peanut butter cake, chocolate ganache filling with peanut butter fudge frosting.
If cupcakes really aren't your thing there are plenty of other dessert options including old fashioned chocolate chip cookies, pecan coffee cake, cinnamon apple cake and french lemon cake.
If you’re hungry for appetizers, Sweet Revenge has that too, including a mesclun salad, soup and Plato Español, which includes Chorizo Sausage, manchego cheese & fresh fruit. Gelato and sorbet are also available.
The menu includes several wine and beer parings. One example is the sweet revenge cupcake, & Weihenstephaner Hefe Weiss, a light refreshing German beer that helps wash down the sweetness of the peanut butter and on the wine side it is paired with a an Argentiane Malbec a smooth medium bodied red wine that nicely rounds out and softens the sweetness of the peanut butter. A new spring seasonal pairing includes the Tart, a lemon vanilla cake with a lemon curd center and lemon butter-creme paired with an Italian Moscato Spumante, and the beer side paired with a belgium white beer, which plays nicely with the light citrusy essence of the cake.
To get a particularly good deal go between four and eight, Monday through Friday for a glass of sangria or wine and a cupcake for only $10.
Soon Scott, will be offering patrons a delicious brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
The restaurant can seat up to 50 and is ideal for any kind of event ranging from a birthday party to a going away party. After all, who doesn't love a cupcake with a glass of bubbly?
